ITA Airways’ first A330, registration EI-EJP, received the Italian airline’s new livery, a beautiful and striking metallic blue.
The ITA A330 unit was painted in Shannon, Ireland, by International Aerospace Coatings (IAC). It is worth noting that so far, the A319 and A320, both narrow-body aircraft, were the only ones to have received this special shade.
#BREAKING: The first @Airbus A330 painted in @ITAAirways full livery was spotted in Shannon today.
This is the first wide-body plane in the airline’s fleet to be painted in the metallic blue scheme, following the A320 and A319.

There is still no certainty as to the number of units that ITA will have this livery with these colors, as the company recently indicated its intention to have the Alitalia brand flying again as part of its airline group.
As reported by our partner site Aeroin, negotiations are underway with other airline groups, such as Lufthansa, to acquire shares in ITA, something that still creates uncertainty as to how this could affect the recently launched company, which had its start-up as recently as October 2021.
