After traveling a distance of 10,520 nautical miles (19,483 km) between Seoul and Buenos Aires in 20 hours 19 minutes, the Boeing 787-8 registered as P4-787 broke the record as the longest non-stop flight in history for the model.

This was confirmed by Comlux, the plane’s operating company, through a statement on its Linkedin account.

The aircraft had taken off from Incheon International Airport at 12:57 local time on Saturday, March 26 as flight XAA4787, and landed at Ezeiza International Airport at 21:16 local time on Sunday, March 28.

It belongs to the Swiss company Comlux, specialized in charter operations for VIP and corporate clients, and although the reason for its presence in the country just weeks after another visit is not entirely clear, is related to the activities of the pilot and filmmaker Enrique Piñeyro, who jumped from the aeronautical environment to public opinion after films such as WRZ and Fuerza Aérea SA, in which he denounced the shortcomings of the system in Argentina.

As in February, after passing through Buenos Aires, the aircraft continued to Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Although the range in normal conditions of the Boeing 787-8 is 14,200 kilometers, with proper planning and the correct passenger/cargo mix it can be significantly extended.

Its passage through Córdoba, Argentina

On February 18, the Boeing 787-8 had carried out training maneuvers at the Córdoba airport.
