This Wednesday (10), the first Azul Linhas Aéreas flight from Porto Alegre landed at Montevideo Airport. The Brazilian airline resumed operations to the Uruguayan capital after 21 months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions.
Azul will have four weekly flights on Embraer 195 and Airbus A320neo, configured with 118 and 174 seats respectively.
With Azul Linhas Aéreas’ restart, Porto Alegre and Montevideo are once again connected on a regular basis. As before the Coronavirus, Azul Linhas Aéreas will continue to be the only airline operating between the two cities.
