Punta del Este Airport unveiled a private aviation terminal with exclusive and modern services, designed to enhance the experience of passengers and crews.
The Punta del Este Airport inaugurated a new terminal for general and private aviation, featuring facilities designed to enhance the passenger experience in this sector. According to information provided by Aeropuertos Uruguay, the terminal, which is three times the size of the previous one, aims to position itself as a benchmark of exclusivity and service in the region, particularly in one of its main luxury tourism hubs.
The new terminal, inaugurated at the beginning of the summer season, boasts spacious and modern areas, improved accessibility, an outdoor terrace with views of the aircraft apron, and a lounge designed to offer both comfort and functionality. Passengers also have access to a selection of premium food and beverages, as well as a Duty Free shop.
The concessionaire highlighted that this expansion responds to the growing demand in the private aviation sector, which has shown steady growth in recent years.
"The inauguration of this new terminal marks a before and after for general aviation in Uruguay. Not only are we meeting the growing demand in the sector, but we are also striving to offer a unique experience that combines exclusivity, comfort, and personalized attention," said Damián Pera, General Aviation Manager at Aeropuertos Uruguay.
As part of this expansion, an exclusive Pilot Lounge was also introduced, intended for crews operating private flights. This space has been designed to provide comfort and specific services to aviation professionals.
According to Aeropuertos Uruguay, this investment is part of its strategy to modernize the country's airport infrastructure and raise quality standards in the sector. The terminal reflects the exclusive character of Punta del Este as a destination and solidifies the airport as a key hub for private aviation in the region.
