Iberia has announced changes to its organizational structure aimed at strengthening the implementation of its upcoming strategic plan, Flight Plan 2030, which is scheduled to be unveiled in June.
As part of the reorganization, the airline is bringing back the Customer Directorate as a member of the Executive Committee, a role that had previously been merged into the commercial area. Beatriz Guillén, formerly Global Sales and Loyalty Director, will now lead this department. According to Iberia, the directorate will oversee all customer-facing functions, including Customer Experience, Customer Commitment, CRM & Marketing Automation, and Loyalty.
Iberia is also creating a new Directorate of Strategy, Transformation, and Sustainability, to be headed by Diego Fernández Ortiz, who was previously responsible for Strategy. This new department will also be part of the Executive Committee and will take on additional responsibilities from other areas—Transformation, formerly under Finance, and Environmental Sustainability, previously managed by the Corporate Directorate.

The goal of this new directorate, the company stated, is to lead the rollout of Flight Plan 2030, with a particular focus on the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). Iberia considers SAF a key pillar for the company’s future, and believes integrating sustainability into this directorate will provide “a more strategic vision” for the acquisition and promotion of SAF production in Spain.
Social impact initiatives will continue to be managed under the Corporate Directorate.
With these additions, Iberia’s Executive Committee is now composed of the following executives:
- Marco Sansavini, President and CEO
- Gabriel Perdiguero, Director of Finance and Technology
- María Jesús López Solás, Director of Commercial, Network Development and Alliances
- Ramiro Sequeira, Director of Operations
- Juan Cierco, Corporate Director
- María Bello, Director of People and Diversity
- José Luis de Luna, Director of Labor Relations, Legal Affairs, and HR Management
- Enrique Robledo, Director of Maintenance
- Beatriz Guillén, Director of Customers
- Diego Fernández, Director of Strategy, Transformation, and Sustainability
“Iberia is entering a new phase of transformation with the ambition of maximizing its business potential,” the company said in its statement.
