Following the provisions of Administrative Decision 951/2021, and after the announcement by the National Ministry of Health that 50% of the fully vaccinated population was reached on October 4, the National Civil Aviation Administration informed through its social networks that the weekly entry quota will be lifted as from October 19.
The measure also implies the elimination of the antigen test upon arrival, but it does not imply the elimination of the need to perform the PCR test prior to boarding, nor the PCR test to be performed between day 5 and 7 after arrival.
Initially, it had been indicated that the quota would be automatically eliminated on November 1, but the progress in the vaccination plan made it possible to bring the date forward by 12 days.
No changes have been indicated, for the time being, in the date of unrestricted entry for foreigners not residing in neighboring countries, which remains effective November 1.

After a long year and a half, the decision is welcomed by passengers and carriers, which will regain a sense of much-needed prevision for their scheduling and operations.
